About TPCN

Terpenoids are the largest class of natural products that are widely found in plants, insects, microorganisms, and have diverse biological activities and medicinal value. The structure of terpenoids is composed of multiple isoprene units (C5H8) and is typically based on the isoprene skeleton, which is chemically modified to form diverse structures. It plays important physiological and biochemical functions in plants, such as antioxidant, antibacterial, anti-inflammatory, and anti-tumor activities, and are involved in plant growth, defense mechanisms, and environmental adaptability. TPCN is the first content-embedded database of terpenoids. It contains 6383 terpenoids that were derived from 1254 species, belonging to 156 plant families, and were extracted from 17 parts of the plants.
